BORN TO SHOOT THE WORLD AROUND ME

I’m a French-Peruvian fine art photographer based in Norway. Nature, urban life, and live music are among the topics that inspire me the most.

I’ve always been amazed by the beauty of nature and cultural heritage. In that sense, I got involved in photography while documenting ecotourism experiences in Peru in 2006.

I enjoy watching, in detail, the world around me. With a wish to share what I see, I discovered and found the art of photography to be the perfect medium to share a view and an emotion.

After working for over a decade as a sustainable development consultant, I decided to return to school and study photography as a new creative career. Then, I discovered influential artists such as Ernst Hass, Ansel Adams, Brett Weston, Saul Leiter, and Henri Cartier-Bresson. They still have a significant impact on my aesthetics.

For my awarded project, GAUSTA IN SEASONS, I spent nearly two years exploring this world-class mountain Norwegian destination.

VESTLAND OUTDOORS, my second project in Scandinavia, focused on this Norwegian county’s nature and urban life. I started it in October 2020 and lasted until May 2021. I launched its second phase in May 2022.

Musicophile, my camera is a great ally that gives me access to a world of boundless imagery. Through the vibrant energy of concerts, I aim to freeze endless moments and embrace the soul of artists. In that vein, I actively cooperate with some of the most iconic venues in Bergen, such as Hulen, Kvarteret, and USF Verftet.

ART STATEMENT

I like observing, in detail, the world around me. So, I found in photography the art medium to share what impresses me the most.

I believe in evolving things. That´s why my approach to photography is also self-therapy. It feeds me with new remarkable experiences.

In that respect, nature and urban life are essential topics for me. I feel that both of them expand my creative process. When going outdoors, I take the time to encounter and enjoy my subjects.
